“Water Loving Japanese Irises”

Our featured speaker, Mr. Chad Harris, of Mt. Pleasant Iris Farm, Washougal, WA, has been growing and breeding Japanese irises, Iris ensata (Hanashobu) and Iris laevigata (Kakitsubata), for many years. The culture includes many flower forms, colors, and patterns. He will discuss the Edo, Higo, and Ise iris types and show leaves and hopefully blossoms, weather permitting.  Ohara ikebana using irises will be displayed.
