The following is a summary of the Planning Meeting held on July 18, 2019, highlighting the key agenda items and decisions.

Annual General Meeting:  The fourth and last meeting of the year in June will be the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for members only. It will essentially replace the brief business portion of each general meeting.  Conducting an AGM in this manner complies with Article VII Section 2.2  of the I.I. Chapter Bylaws.

It will not be all business.  The AGM will have some surprises and fun in store for the members present. Please save the date, June 8, 2020.

Program Meetings: To emphasize the change in format, the first three meetings of the year (September, December and March) will be called Program Meetings focusing on ikebana or culturally related topics, lunching and socializing. Non-members are cordially invited to attend.

All the meetings will continue to be held at the MAC from 11:00 to 1:30.

Board Meetings:  The Board Meeting schedule (4x/yr) will remain the same. A meeting summary will be included in the quarterly newsletter and meeting minutes will be posted on the Members Only webpage.

At the July 2020 Planning Meeting, these changes in meeting format will be assessed to consider other changes to the schedule.

Standing Rules:  Revisions to the Standing Rules were presented to the Board for review.  The final approved version will be printed in the Member Directory and posted on the Members Only webpage.
