25th Anniversary – Ohara Portland Study Group was established on September 11, 1994 by Houn Ohara granting the designation to Kitty Akre.

Carolyn Alter, who currently heads the Study Group, and her students invite chapter members  to join their celebration on Saturday, September 28th, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m for a private viewing of their Hana Mai or “Flowers Dancing” exhibition, food, and drinks at the garden’s Yanai classroom.
