Thank you to Sogetsu, Ohara – Seattle and Saga Goryu for representing our chapter at the Natsu Matsuri – for both displaying and being docents in the hot sun!  The participants were grateful for having a booth located in the shade where a breeze came through now and then.

The annual weekend summer festival held at the Beaverton Uwajimaya on July 29-30 in their parking lot was a lively scene with music, performances, activities and food.  By contrast, our booth was very refreshing to visitors’ eyes, calming  and beautiful. The arrangements represented both traditional and modern styles and people appreciated the variety.  Please click to see photos.
