Saga Goryu – After a year’s hiatus, the Annual Hana Matsuri or “Flower Festival” will resume on April 8-9, from 10:00 to 4:00 at the Japanese Garden’s newly constructed Cultural Village.
A Tuesday morning class has been added to the weekly schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. ; Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
Sogetsu – Students and guests attending the annual New Year’s luncheon celebrated Sogetsu’s 90th anniversary by viewing a video and making and decorating containers with beautiful paper.
Ohara – Diane Sayrizi received her 3rd Term Masters certification.
Look for the color purple. Carolyn Alter reports that her students are finishing up a project sewing six more purple happi coats to wear while hostessing events or representing Portland Ohara School.
