March GM – “Ikenobo Demonstration of Shoka Style”
Albertina Kerr’s private dining room was filled to the brim with 22 members and 7 guests for the March General Meeting. Hosted by the Ikenobo School, the presentation was a demonstration of their Shoka style arrangements.
Kathryn Cochran created a traditional Isshu-ike and a Nishu-ike; Heida Bruce demonstrated a more contemporary Sanshu-ike. The first syllables, Is-, Ni- San- refers to the number of plant materials for the arrangement.
