Portland Flower Market
The Chapter became a member of the Portland Flower Market in October, subject to an annual renewal. Rules and regulations governing access, eligibility and use of Portland’s wholesale source of flowers has changed over the years, making it reasonable for the Chapter to join.
In a nutshell:
- A membership offers three market passes. They will be held by the current Chapter President, Program Director, and Outreach Chairperson.
- All Chapter members are eligible for a pass. The following guidelines have been established, as we test the waters, so to speak:
- The Program Director maintains the II Chapter 47 List of Additional Buyer’s Pass Holders.
- Members should contact the Program Director to request a pass.
- The List of Additional Buyers is submitted with the Chapter’s annual renewal on October 4.
- It is the responsibility of each member to go to the Flower Market to obtain a photo ID pass, which is issued upon paying the $25 fee directly to the market.
