The following change was proposed and approved at the Board Meeting on February 8, 2017.  It will be presented at the March General Meeting for a vote by the members present.  The change was made to reflect the Chapter’s current outreach activities, where visits to school classrooms are no longer the focus, and now includes a wide range of community events related to Japanese culture and interests.  The change in focus has not been by design but by changes in circumstances and opportunities.

Current – Community outreach through our school program is our biggest expense.  The program runs $500.00 – $700.00 a year. Other outreach activities must be voted on by the board of directors.

Proposed – Community outreach activities must be voted on by the board of directors.
