December General Meeting Highlights:  (Minutes of the Dec. 4th Board Meeting are unavailable.)

At the GM, President, Nana Bellarud requested IDEAS from the members to raise money to avoid raising dues, and to find a centrally located venue for our General Meetings, 4x/yr.

Michiko Kornhauser, Japanese Garden Liaison, confirmed that three out of five annual exhibitions are scheduled for 2015; at this time, the Ryusei-ha Fall Ikebana Show and the Annual Mum Show are tentative, contingent upon the Garden’s timetable for their expansion. As an alternative, participating in various plant society exhibits with a table of Ikebana arrangements was one suggestion.

The good turn out for the meeting may be attributed, in part, to the 2 newsletter notifications plus a follow-up reminder by e-mail or phone call to those who had not responded. A member requested to be reminded, in a similar way, for membership renewal!
