Community and School Programs

Throughout the year, Ikebana members place ikebana arrangements in tokonoma in the Japan Gallery of the Portland Art Museum. The members visit various schools and community events to demonstrate ikebana as well as to talk about Japan and its history and culture. All the ikebana schools participate in flower exhibits at the Portland Japanese Garden.
